On October 14, 2023, in Nanxun District of Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, the China Society of Automotive Engineers partnered with the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association to kick off the “2024 China Society of Automotive Engineers Baja Competition – Nanxun Station” and host the global debut of the Hydrogen Baja event. This occasion not only marks a decade of the Baja competition but also highlights the latest advancements in energy technologies within the automotive industry.
Since its inception, the Baja competition has witnessed a significant shift from fuel-powered vehicles to electric-powered ones. In recent years, the rapid development of hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology has brought eco-friendly and highly efficient fuel cell vehicles to the forefront. For the first time, this Baja competition has introduced a unique hydrogen racing track, showcasing four hydrogen-powered Baja cars during the opening ceremony.
The Hydrogen Baja competition aims to spread awareness about hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicles while promoting technological innovation and applications.
