In a recent interview with a reporter from the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, it was revealed that after nearly three months of coordination, the largest Huawei HarmonyOS Smart Mobility Experience Center in the nation has officially opened in the Yongshan Street area of Longgang District. This center is expected to deliver over 2,000 cars each month and generate annual sales exceeding 10 billion yuan.
The Zhonglian Exhibition New Energy Vehicle City, located in the Baoan community of Yongshan Street, has been in operation since 2023. The facility is committed to advancing Shenzhen Longgang’s strategy for new energy vehicles (NEVs) by promoting the electrification, connectivity, and intelligence of the region’s automotive industry. With a focus on integrated innovation, the park aims to create a new industrial ecosystem by attracting research and development companies specializing in key materials and components for NEVs, such as power systems, electronic control systems, and electronic circuit systems. Additionally, the center aims to offer a full spectrum of services in NEV office R&D, sales displays, intelligent maintenance, car rentals, and automotive finance, making it the first comprehensive new energy vehicle ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area.
As of now, prestigious automakers including Huawei HarmonyOS, Lantu, Chery, Great Wall, Geely, Changan, Nissan, and JAC have set up operations in the park. Notably, companies like Xiaomi and BYD are in discussions to establish a presence there as well. In collaboration with organizations such as the Shenzhen Automobile Dealer Association and the Shenzhen Automobile Sheet Metal and Spray Painting Industry Association, two new branches have been formed: the Eastern General Association of the Shenzhen Automobile Sheet Metal and Spray Painting Industry Association and the Eastern Center for High-Skilled Talent Training.
This year, Yongshan Street has focused on discovering, nurturing, and developing new types of productive forces. It has actively built innovative service platforms and continues to enhance the automotive industry by “supplementing, extending, and strengthening” the supply chain. This strategic approach aims to accelerate the development of a complete automotive industry ecosystem characterized by high quality and cluster-based production.
