Unity Bank Plc recently held a capacity-building workshop aimed at empowering the Association of Nigerian Women in Business Network (ANWBN). This initiative is designed to equip women entrepreneurs with the essential skills necessary to thrive in today’s digital economy.

In a statement, Unity Bank explained that the workshop was driven by the rapid advancements in technology and their impact on business, which is reflected in the theme: “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: AI and Digital Marketing Strategies.” The workshop focused on equipping women with practical knowledge on harnessing technology to their advantage.

The event attracted participants from various sectors, providing them with tools to leverage digital platforms for market expansion, enhance operational efficiency, engage customers effectively, and increase brand visibility.

After the workshop, Mrs. Adenike Abimbola addressed the media, stating that this capacity-building initiative arose from the need to empower women entrepreneurs to take advantage of growing opportunities in the evolving digital marketing landscape.

“The digital landscape offers a unique opportunity for women to scale their businesses,” she remarked. “Over 70% of women entrepreneurs in Nigeria expressed a desire for capacity-building programs like this one to help them transition from traditional business methods to technology-driven strategies, which will be a key differentiator.”

One workshop participant, Mrs. Yetunde Adeniran, a fashion designer, shared her insights, noting that the knowledge she gained would help her integrate digital technology into various aspects of her business. She also emphasized the benefits of Unity Bank’s Yanga Account, describing it as an important resource for small business owners seeking financial support tailored to their unique needs.
