On the afternoon of October 17th, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Liu Chixiang in Tongcheng, Anhui, to reflect on the story of Zhang Wu and Li Rang and to review the exhibition on Tongcheng’s historical culture. Xi expressed, “It’s very moving to be here. Liu Chixiang carries the historical wisdom of ancient Chinese people. We must promote the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, such as mutual consideration and the value of harmony. We need to effectively address the issues affecting people’s livelihoods and resolve social conflicts to create a more harmonious society.”
